HMT All-Electric – Dual-Stack Design
HMT manufactures dual stack, all-electric CNC tube benders at its Madera, CA factory. Dual-stack benders have the advantage of a low-interference design when compared to their multi-stack counterparts. When part shapes become complex this machine design becomes an excellent choice. Two stacks of tools can be mounted at any give time. Either two sets of rotary draw tooling or one set of rotary draw tooling and one set of roller tooling can be mounted. HMT’s designs utilize large servo motors and drives with smaller gear reductions for increased speeds. Every axis on HMT’s bender is directly coupled to the corresponding gearbox and no belts or chains are utilized. This reduces maintenance and increases accuracy and repeatability. HMT utilizes Yaskawa Sigma 7 servo motors and drives that are networked using EtherCat and all axes have absolute positioning so homing is never required. Like all HMT all-electric CNC benders, the dual stack machines are rated for 24/7 operation with very little maintenance required. The come standard with a BendPro G2v3 control and a variety of options.
